Alleviating effect on osteoporosis of QOG through regulate PKM signalilg pathway in experimental osteoporosis model
A breakdown in bone homeostasis due to excessive osteoclast differentiation can lead to os-teo-porosis, and regulation of osteoclast differentiation has been known to be an important treatment strategy for osteoporosis. PKM2 is an enzyme that mainly generates pyruvate in gly-colysis, and plays an important role in metabolic regulation and cell signaling. Recent studies have revealed that PKM2 is an important link in bone metabolism and bone formation. In this study, we demonstrated that QOG, a natural product-derived compound, can act as an important mediator of bone formation and bone resorption, and demonstrated osteoporosis alleviation effects through regulation of the PKM2 signaling pathway in experimental in vitro and in vivo models.
